from the Chalice.

Intinction, or dipping the host into the

chalice, may not be done by the person
receiving communion.

Please be advised that it is inappropriate to KNEEL to receive Holy Communion either on the tongue or on the hand in the absence of Altar rails.  It is also very
dangerous for those following you.

IN MEMORIA BOOK

The In Memoria book is in the Church.

There is a book for prayer intentions located inside the church on the table below Our Lady Help of Christians.

BAPTISM

Baptism

For the information of all parishioners and their families it is the policy and the usual practice for Baptism to be celebrated during the parish masses on the weekend. As Baptism is the first of the sacraments of Initiation into the Community of Faith it is appropriate for this sacrament to be celebrated when the community is gathered to celebrate the Eucharist – the heart of our faith.

When parents present their child for this sacrament they are undertaking to journey with their child in their life of faith and they promise to live a full sacramental life themselves and are asking the community to help them in their journey of witnessing their faith to their child.

Presenting a child for Baptism means a parent or parents are professing their faith in Jesus Christ and that they intend to live this faith as Catholics and that they will celebrate and receive the sacraments of the church regularly and lead their child to do the same.

BAPTISM PREPARATION DATES - 2010

To enable your child to be baptised in the Catholic faith parents must attend a preparation course.
The
next course will be:

Sunday August 22nd 2.30pm at Batemans Bay

Tuesday September 7th 7.30pm at Moruya

Please contact Fr Tom before applying for the course.

Please Note: Parents may attend the course before the birth of their child.
