LENT - PREPARING FOR EASTER

This year we are offering two programs for adult preparation during Lent. You may choose to do one or both of these.

*The first is the program “ Remember Me” from the Archdiocese of Brisbane.  This program will be offered on Mondays of Lent in the morning at 10am and in the evenings at 7.30 pm also Saturdays 10am. For enquiries call the presbytery or Joe Quigley 4471 7383.

*Our second offering is in the vein of the Dialogue on Reconciliation last year and it is focused on “The Mass.”

The sessions are over five weeks and these sessions will be held on Thursdays both at 10 am and 7.30 pm, depending on numbers.
An outline of the topics for each week is on the notice board, but it would be important to attend all the sessions to ensure a complete coverage of all the issues raised.

SUMMARY:

Mondays of Lent:  10am or 7.30pm “Remember Me”

also Saturday 10am

Thursdays of Lent: 10am or 7.30pm Dialogue about The Mass.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
are being held in the Church on
Fridays of Lent  after the 9.15a.m. Mass.

All are welcome

AN INVITATION TO SACRAMENTS

Parents of children who consider their child ready to receive the sacraments of either, Reconciliation, Holy Communion or Confirmation, this year are invited to arrange an appointment to come and see me and discuss what needs to take place for these sacraments to be celebrated.

Please phone and make an appointment before the end of March.
It will be an essential element of preparation that the Catholic parent(s) are regularly attending Mass and the sacraments themselves before their child will be invited to receive.

Adequate assistance and formation programs will be provided for parents to work with their child or in groups with others.
Parents, however, really need to make a sacramental faith
commitment themselves before we are able to assist.
